"Do Not Call" RegistryTo stop telemarketers from calling your home phone or cell phone, sign up for the national "Do Not Call" registry. You can call their toll-free phone number (888) 382-1222 (TTY 866-290-4236) or register online at http://www.donotcall.gov. Your phone number will stay on the registry for 5 years or until you ask to be removed from the list. |
Direct Marketing Association (DMA)Sign-up for the Telephone Preference Service from the Direct Marketing Association. This will stop telemarketers who are members of the DMA, which has around 5,000 members.
